Favorite Thing about Rainbow

Posted in Blog on April 22nd, 2022 by Christi Reed

Initiations are my favorite thing about Rainbow. We get to show off our ritual work and get to welcome new girls.  While it takes time to learn each part, I was always told if you learn it right the first time, it won’t be hard to refresh for the next time!   At Manassas Assembly we award a Ritual Necklace following each initiation. The girls vote by secret ballot on who they feel did the best ritual and floor work.  The Mother Advisor counts the votes and announces the winner.  Sometimes the votes are tied because our girls can do such great work!

Maryland’s Grand Assembly

Posted in Blog on April 21st, 2022 by Christi Reed

On March 19th I attended Maryland’s Grand Assembly for 2022.

Earlier that day I rode up to Maryland with some of my favorite people such as Mom Erin, Kaitlyn, and Mom Christi. When we got to Maryland, we changed right away and went to the first session. In the first session on Saturday, they did baby dedication, memorial service, and speeches. Some people who did the speeches from VA were Kaitlyn, Mom J, And Jasmine. Once the session was over, we changed and went to California Pizza Kitchen. At California Pizza Kitchen, I got a very yummy pizza. After we ate, we went shopping to places like Dick’s and Marshall’s. After we shopped, we went back to the room to change so we could go to the banquet. At the banquet we had food at a buffet, and the Maryland girls did a skit for the incoming GWA. After the banquet we headed to the installation. A lot of amazing girls got installed. After the installation we went back to the room, changed, and went home. It was very fun to visit a different jurisdiction.

Murder Mystery

Posted in Blog on April 20th, 2022 by Christi Reed

The murder mystery event was on Saturday March 5th at 5:30 pm at Kena Shriner.  It took about a year to prepare and was very fun! I was the only one to have guessed who was the “murderer”. It was very fun because you didn’t know if you were the murderer until the day you were at the event. They served dinner and dessert. Everyone dressed to the part. I was a dwarf and sold fake gems for “money”. The person with the most money had about $2,000 and we started out with about 200. Very fun and I am looking forward to the one next year!
