On August 20^th, Richmond Assembly Rainbow girls had fun playing mini golf at Bogey’s Golf Club. The girls who attended were Brigitte, Erin, Brianna, Christa, Rebecca, Kathy, and myself. We also had a prospect girl named Marie come play with us. We had lots of fun mini golfing and then afterwards spent time getting to know each other and then we rolled down a hill with Brianna, Christa, and Maria. It was nice spending time with the other Rainbow girls and getting to know Marie and we hope she joins our assembly!

Richmond Assembly # 10

On September 10 we all went to the school of instruction in Fairfax. It was very informational and I learned a lot. The main thing that I learned was that when you ballot, you ballot in groups instead of all together. The Grand Officers were able to try on their dresses which look gorgeous and I can’t wait until we get to wear them at the first Grand Visitation on October 22. We had a good turn out of girls there and Abigail did an amazing job teaching us the correct way to do our floor work. For the girls who couldn’t attend we missed you and you missed a good time, ask the girls who went to tell you all the things we learned.

Richmond Assembly #10

On August 18, 2011 Smithfield Assembly #5 went to Bremond Lodge and served dinner for their Community Builders Award. Michelle, Stevie, Abbey, Kendra, Megan and I helped serve. A lot of people showed up for the dinner after everyone ate they had an award presentation that was being filmed for television. Two leaders of the Newport News School district received awards. It was a fun evening.

For Smithfield Assembly #5’s last meeting for the month I, as Worthy Advisor, wanted us to have a fun meeting. We agreed on having Tacky Tuesday! The only way to wear tacky clothes was you had to donate school supplies for a local student in need. We collected binders, folders, glue, paper, pencils, pens, erasers, notebooks, rulers, and a calculator. We filled up the backpack! We were able to have a really fun meeting and help someone in need.
