Fairfax Assembly Installation

Posted in Blog on February 2nd, 2018 by Webmaster

On Sunday, January 7th, Fairfax Assembly had their Installation for their new term.  The following girls were installed: Zoë as Charity, Lorkin as Faith, Paige as Chaplain, and Kaylie as Fidelity. The girls who attended from our assembly, Manassas #13 were:  Isabella, Katie, Jazmyn, Sami, Gigi, Maribel, Delanie, and myself.  The adults that attended were: Dad Clancy, Mom Louisa, Mom Priscilla, Mom Deborah, Mom Robin and Dad Joe. The Installation went well and I presented Zoë with a gift, because she switched Assemblies. Hopefully Fairfax Assembly will continue to grow now that Zoë is there. The refreshments afterward were delicious and made me want more. I was at their Lodge in the morning to help set up with Zoë.  All in all, Fairfax had an amazing Installation and I can’t wait to see their Installation for their next term!

Fairfax Installation

Posted in Blog on January 31st, 2018 by Webmaster

I arrived a little after 2pm on January 7th for Fairfax Assembly #3’s Installation.  Currently it’s a small assembly so there weren’t many girls to be installed, but it is growing each time I visit!  Their Sister of Charity presided over the event once the officers were installed since they don’t have a Worthy Advisor at this time.  She did a really good job and it was good practice for when she becomes the Worthy Advisor.  Once installation was over refreshments were served.  Several Rainbow Girls were there from the Manassas Assembly #13: Gigi, Katie, Dalanie, Joella, Sami, Maribel, Jazmyn and me.

Grand Cross of Color Dinner and Christmas Cards

Posted in Blog on December 13th, 2017 by Webmaster

On November 11, 2017, Manassas Assembly celebrated the people who have earned the Grand Cross of Color degree with a ceremony and Lasagna dinner.  The cake to celebrate was good!  It was followed by us making Christmas cards for the residents at MAHOVA.  Zoey W. organized the event.  She had great decorations and she had the tables arranged in a cross to celebrate the occasion.  We were able to honor:  Gigi, Mom Cherry, Dad Bill, and Mom Jean during the ceremony.  The girls who were there included:  Gigi, Katie, Kate, Delanie, Zoey W., Vanessa, Joella, Sami, Abigail, and me.  Zoey’s little brother Sam was also there.  Adults who were there for the event were:  Mom Priscilla, Dad Tom, Dad Bill, Mom Cherry, Dad Clancy, Mom and Dad Wertman, Mom Paula, Mom Robin (missed the ceremony but was there for cards), Mom Joanne, Mom Ange, and Mom Louisa.

Bake Sale and Auction

Posted in Blog on December 11th, 2017 by Webmaster

On November 4, 2017, Manassas Assembly had a table at the Manassas Moose Lodge to raise money for Supreme Assembly 2018 where we had baked goods and Rainbow jewelry.  I got there at 11am and we stayed until 1pm.  Mom Priscilla brought materials to hand out brochures for Rainbow and we were able to hand them out to two people who were interested.  Other Rainbow Girls besides me from the Assembly who were also there were:  Gigi, Katie, Delanie, Zoey, Vanessa, Joella, and Sami.  Adults who went and stayed at the bake sale included:  Mom Priscilla, Dad Tom, Dad Clancy, Mom Jean, Mom Paula, Mom Robin, and Mom Louisa.  Once we were done, we headed back to our Lodge to have a table at the Amaranth Silent Auction that was raising money for their Diabetes Foundation where our Assembly had a basket for the auction.  We brought the baked goods that didn’t sell at the Moose Lodge.
