Our Radiant Rainbow Dads

Posted in Blog on April 29th, 2018 by Webmaster

All the time Rainbow Girls get recognized for going above and beyond, but most times we never pause to recognize our hardworking and supportive Rainbow Dads other than Installations or Grand Assembly. I would like to take a moment to thank some of our outstanding Rainbow Dads from Manassas Assembly.

Dad Joe Martinez is one of our newest Rainbow Dads and has already made a great impact on our Assembly. He has provided food, entertainment, love and support. He also protemes as Outer Observer protecting us whenever we’re there. He has helped raise money for our events and charities and we look forward to seeing him try to get the title of Assembly Dad away from Dad Clancy.

On April 12th, M’balu, Batu, and I with the help of my mom, Mom Jean, and fed the Masons at the Royal Arch dinner. We served chicken, mash potatoes and gravy, corn and rolls. We made around $75 at the dinner. We had a great time serving and preparing the food.

Fredericksburg Meeting

Posted in Blog on April 27th, 2018 by Webmaster

On March 18, Fredericksburg’s walk downtown was fun. My Nana and I drove down to Fredericksburg and my sister met us there. On the way, we saw an ice cream place with a lot of people standing outside of it, we assumed it was good.  So we went and got some ice cream and it was really good. It was soft and creamy.  Then we went to a nearby antique shop.  I got a painting and my Nana got some buttons.  After that we went to the Lodge.  We met Ashley, she is very nice and funny.  Shortly after that we began the walk, while walking we went to a pizza place called Benny’s.  Ashley talked to us about an old cemetery with a tree growing through a gravestone and it seemed pretty cool.  Ashley has been working at the cemetery since she was four years old.   What makes the cemetery interesting is that it’s the oldest American Masonic cemetery.   While waiting for the pizza Ashley and I exchange numbers.  After getting the pizza we went to a nearby public square and ate the AMAZING pizza.  It was so good I kept the box for show and tell!  We took some pictures had some laughs and said good-bye until next time.

Rainbow Competitions

Posted in Blog on April 25th, 2018 by Webmaster

On Saturday April 14, Sara,Kensley, Lauren, Alex and Reagan participated in the yearly competitions. On the way up to Richmond we went to Chick-fil-A and got lunch. After we went to the Dollar Tree to get snacks for our trip and I slipped my Chick-fil-A cup on the ground and made a mess! Once we made it to competitions I got very nervous because 11-13 year olds went first and that meant that Alex and I were first. After we competed, it was Sara’s turn for the Rose Lecture; following that it was Lauren and Kensley’s turn! While we waited for Rodeo to start, we colored pictures! When it was time for Rodeo, Sara, Lauren, Alex and myself competed. Richmond’s Assembly Room was a little different so it was somewhat a challenge! We all went to dinner at Hibachi Grill and we took pictures! Today was a great day and I look forward to next year!
