This term, Manassas Assembly is doing a little fun competition! I made coin jars with all the girls names on them and three littles bags. We have already collected the coins two times this term and we will have another one next month. The Girl that raises the most money will receive a prize! Everyone better watch out, our little Ella is on a mission!! Our goal is to raise $200 to go to our charities!!

The first Rainbow event I ever attended was the Rainbow Retreat in 2016.  Back then, I was a Prospect and I had only just learned about Rainbow. Isabella’s mom talked to my parents about it and they decided to sign me up for the Retreat only a week before the event! I remember that I rode with Joella there and rode back with Joella and my friend Denise, another Prospect. I met a bunch of people there, including Vanessa, Gigi, Libby, and Rachal. The event I remember the most clearly was the costume contest.   There were a lot of people and a lot of costumes, consisting of a skeleton, Nemo, Freddy Fazbear, a Vampire and many more.  I dressed up as an Owl, a costume I made myself for Odyssey of the Mind and I won Most Original (I’m pretty sure, I forgot the exact name) and I received a Harry Potter bracelet. Overall, the event was memorable, and the next year was just as amazing! I can’t wait for this year’s Retreat!

Manassas Assembly #13

On May 26, Manasseh Lodge had its annual Strawberry Night Dinner. There were 55 people present, including the Rainbow Girls that attended which were Gigi, Zoey and me. The Grand Master came to visit and was handing out pins and meeting all the families who came to visit. The food was delicious and dessert was of course, strawberries!  Everyone went to the Lodge room for presentations and remarks from the Grand Master after dinner. Everyone had a great time!

Manassas Assembly #13

Last meeting, May 22nd, Manassas Assembly had a Pledge meeting and then our Rainbow meeting. It was also our Jean Night Fundraiser, where we raised money for our charity. While we were in our meeting, our Pledges made over 20 cards to send to The Masonic Home! I was so happy with the cards! Our Rainbow meeting was quick and we got out to the dining hall to work on the scrapbook. We enjoyed socializing and being creative with our Rainbow Sisters!!
