Serving a Lodge

Posted in Blog on January 4th, 2019 by Christi Reed

On December 18, 2018, Sarah, Phoenix, Kayla, Adam (our Rainbro), and I were happy to serve at Indian River Lodge’s Stated Dinner.  It is always exciting to visit the other lodges in District 36 and show our support through service.  This was the last dinner we were to serve in 2018, and it did not disappoint!  We served pork tenderloin, sweet potato souffle, and green bean casserole, with our ever-favorite rolls!  For dessert, there were different loaves of cakes with ice cream.  We even got to see our newest pledge, Evelyn, and her mom.  Evelyn will join in nine years when she turns 10!!

Bethel 42’s Installation

Posted in Blog on January 4th, 2019 by Christi Reed

On December 16, 2018, Kaitlyn, Phoenix, Lauren, Mary, Caroline, and I were in attendance for Bethel 42’s Installation of Officers.  I could not believe it when we saw pineapples and flamingos everywhere!  It was like we were back at Supreme!  I look forward to working with Bethel 42 throughout Charlye’s term to have fun and strengthen our bonds!

Bikes for the Community

Posted in Blog on January 3rd, 2019 by Christi Reed

On December 15, 2018, after our breakfast with Santa, the girls and members of our lodge put together bikes and motorized cars for our community service project.  The lodge members went to pick up the bikes and cars from our community partner and brought them back to the lodge.  We had a great time connecting with our lodge members to put together the bikes and cars for kids who are less fortunate.

Breakfast with Santa!

Posted in Blog on January 3rd, 2019 by Christi Reed

On December 15, 2018, Norfolk Assembly had breakfast with Santa.  Every month, we have a breakfast fundraiser, and this month was with the big guy himself!  While the meal was downstairs, families could get their pictures taken upstairs with Santa.  Santa would give each child a coloring book and markers.  Downstairs, the breakfast was biscuits, sausage gravy, sausage patties, hash browns, and eggs with a choice of hot chocolate, orange juice, apple juice, or coffee.  It was a great experience for the assembly to work together to do this task!  We look forward to next year’s!
