I had the pleasure of attending Hampton Assembly No. 2’s installation! It was held on August 2nd 2026 at Monitor Lodge #197 in Hampton, VA. It started at 2pm and ended at 4pm. A reception was held afterwards with delicious food and a chocolate fountain too! There was also a station to even make your own Fizzy Lifting Drink!

Claire was installed as Worthy Advisor. Her term’s theme was the 1971 version of “ Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”. One of her term’s service projects is to make snuffle mats to donate to the local animal shelters. If you do not know what a snuffle mat is, it is a hand-made mat that uses tied together fabric to make a “slow feeder” or enrichment toy to help them learn how to find their food. It is even a great toy to have when the dogs and cats eat their dinners! 

The Assembly room was lit up with beautiful decorations inspired by the film. Dad Jonathan, our State Rainbow Dad, was dressed as Willy Wonka himself! There was also a large crowd there supporting Hampton #2, including Norfolk Assembly, Fredericksburg Assembly, Richmond Assembly, and Springfield Assembly. There was also support from the DeMolay of Tidewater Chapter. 

Overall, I was so happy that I was able to attend and share these wonderful memories! I am very excited to see what Claire will do for Hampton and cannot wait to begin our Worthy Advisor journeys together!

Manuela H. Norfolk Assembly #15

On August 2, Hampton Assembly #2 had their installation of officers. I went with my sisters from Norfolk Assembly #15, Macie, and our newly installed Worthy Advisor, Manuela. We also saw support from our Tidewater DeMolay brothers and many of our Rainbow sisters from across Virginia!

Claire went in as Worthy Advisor and she looked absolutely stunning! As did all of the Hampton girls! The installing officers and the girls did an amazing job during the installation and it looked flawless. Claire’s theme for her term is “The Sweet Things In Life”, which is shown by her Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed installation! Her quote is, “We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams” and her term charity is The Peninsula  SPCA. Her main service project for her term is making snuffle mats to donate to the SPCA.

I look forward to Claire’s term and watching as she continues to do great things in Virginia Rainbow! I know Hampton Assembly will have a great time under Claire’s leadership. I was so excited to be there and look forward to all her accomplishments!

Chloe V. Norfolk Assembly #15

On August 2nd, 2026, at Monitor Lodge. Hampton Assembly had their installation of officers. Claire went in as their New Worthy Advisor. The theme for the term is “The Sweet Things In Life”. Her quote is, “We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.” The charity for the term is the Peninsula SPCA, which also has to do with her service project of making shuffle mats for the SPCA. The Bible verse she chose says, ” Oh taste and see that the lord is good. Blessed is the man who trusts in him.” Her mascot is an Oompa Loompa, and her flower is a Daffodil. She chose her symbols to be chocolate bars, a golden ticket, and a top hat. The colors for the term are lucky ticket gold, chocolate brown, and Wonka purple. They gave out awards for best ritualist, friendliest, Sweethearts, and the dad of the term. Our very own Rainbow Dad, dad Jonathan, was awarded dad of the term and got to wear a top hat with a staff, looking just like Willy Wonka!

I’m so proud of Hampton Assembly. They did such a great job last term, and I can’t wait to see what they have planned under Claire’s leadership. I always love being able to support my rainbow sisters and see them shine. I had a great time seeing everyone and having really good food. I especially loved the Fizzy Lifting drink!

Macie R. Norfolk Assembly #15

Norfolk Installation:

On August 1, 2026, at South Norfolk Masonic Lodge. Norfolk Assembly #15 had their installation of officers. Manuela went in as our Worthy Advisor for the term. The theme for this term is centered around the movie Toy Story. Her motto is “You’ve got a Friend in Rainbow.” The flower for her term is Daisies, and her colors are Green, Blue, and Neon Purple. For the service project, she wants to collect 15,000 soda tabs. I need to start saving mine! The charity is the American Cancer Society. Her scripture that she chose is Philippians 4:13- “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” There was an amazing amount of support for our Norfolk family. We had our sponsoring bodies, DeMolay, Job’s Daughters, and many Rainbow sisters in attendance. 

I’m so proud of all of Norfolk Assembly #15 girls and everything they have accomplished this past term. I’m so excited to watch Manuela lead our Assembly for the next 6 months. I am also equally excited to work alongside her as her Worthy Associate Advisor! I know she will do amazing things. Congratulations to everyone on their new positions and for working so hard to make this term a huge success! 

Macie R. Norfolk Assembly #15

Norfolk Assembly No. 15 had its Installation of Officers on August 1st of 2026. It was held at South Norfolk Masonic Lodge at 2 pm and ended at 4 pm. There was a reception held afterwards which was a Taco Bar!

I was honored to be installed as their Worthy Advisor for the ensuing term. My term’s theme is “You’ve got a Friend in Rainbow” inspired by the Disney Pixar Animated Film, Toy Story. It was so wonderful to see people from all across the state come to support our Assembly, including my family from Brazil who flew out to come support us! The room was decorated with tons of Toy Story characters and references to the films. Many people from Job’s Daughters and DeMolay were present at the installation!

My term mascot is a Buzz Lighteryear plushie named Blueberry Cheesecake! I named him this because he smells like Blueberry Cheesecake, I had to get Mom Kaitlyn and Mom Christi to smell it in order to believe me. Overall it was a very big accomplishment for me and I am so excited for the future of Norfolk Assembly!

Manuela H. Norfolk Assembly #15

Rainbow is all about making new friends, helping others, and making other people happy and showing them exactly what we do. Members experience the excitement of what a productive life has to offer. We help people, we give reports, and we also have fun events. Rainbow is not afraid to speak up, we are willing to help with anything that comes our way. A lot of the girls in Rainbow are very familiar with Kena Shriners. Emily is Worthy advisor in this term, and her charity is Shriners hospitals. A lot of the girls in our assembly have dads who are a Shriner and it is so much fun to be able to help at Kena Shrine events.

I love Rainbow because it feels like a second family. I made so many new friends the first time I met everyone. Everyone is so welcoming and I would love for so many more girls to join us! There is more than just my assembly, there is Ashburn assembly, Springfield assembly, Richmond assembly, Norfolk assembly, plus all of the assemblies out of state.

-Evelyn, Manassas Assembly #13

On July 23- 26, 2026, Virginia DeMolay had their annual state wide event, Conclave. This year’s theme was Hollywood. There was a red carpet when you walked on with red, black, and gold decorations. They were also handing out special awards throughout the whole event as well. On Thursday they had their sports competitions for volleyball and basketball. Tidewater won against Ashburn in volleyball, and Kempsville won against Ashburn in basketball. On Friday morning, they played softball. There were 2 games. Advisors vs. Kids and Kids vs. Kids. The Advisors won their game, and the Keith-ers won the kids’ game. They had their opening meeting and majority service in the afternoon. On Saturday, they had elections, water volleyball, and a home run derby. Later that day, they had their banquet, which is when other youth groups and sponsoring orders can join in on the fun! It was so exciting seeing people get awards, especially the Mom Ronnie award. There were also other special awards that the boys voted on. Our new State Master Councilor is Jacob, and our new Deputy State Master Councilor is Seamus. On Sunday, they finished off their Conclave with the devotional service. Once the service was completed, everyone hit the road to travel home. 

I was able to go to Friday night poker night. I’ve been wanting to go for so long, but I wasn’t ever allowed to. But this year, I could. The ice cream was so good, and I learned how to play different games. I think the best part of that night was getting to hang out with my DeMolay brothers. I then was able to join the banquet and the dance that followed. Everyone had so much fun dancing and laughing! I was so proud of all of the DeMolay boys that got awards. They all deserved it. On Sunday, I went to their devotional, which was only 15 minutes long. Honesty, that was the quickest one I have been to but I still left with an impactful message. I then got to go home and prepare for Norfolk Assembly’s meeting that same Sunday.
