On May 30, 2026, Kempsville Chapter hosted a car wash from 8am-1pm at the popular gas station, 7 eleven. This was a very successful event. There was a great turnout of boys from the chapter to help volunteer with cleaning the cars. Many of our DeMolay adults also volunteered to help with the event, contributing to the fast cleaning service! Our own Rainbow Brother, Jonathan, was the man in charge of this event. As the Master Counselor of Kempsville, he was the one to coordinate and carry out all the planning and organizing. Big congratulations goes to Johnathan for his hard work and making this event a huge success! 

Even though my brother was out of town, I still went and supported my DeMolay brothers. I helped by being the best sign twirler ever! Even though all I did was help hold the signs, I will always be present to help contribute to the success of all their service events. As a past chapter sweetheart, I still love being able to help whenever I can.

 Macie R. Norfolk Assembly #15

On May 23, 2026, from 12pm- 3pm Corinthian Lodge hosted their annual family picnic at Khedive Shrine Center. This was an amazing event filled with delicious food, perfect sunny weather, and many friendly faces. The atmosphere was full of laughter and fun! From Norfolk Assembly, we had in attendance myself, along with our Worthy Advisor, Alaina, and Becca, our Grand Hope for the State of Virginia. We had a great time mingling and eating the best food! In addition, many of the kids there were playing football or volleyball together, so I enjoyed that a lot.

I wanted to give a shout out to everyone who cooked the food earlier that morning. We greatly appreciate it. Every year, my brother and I always get there early to help in any way with the food and set up. I always have so much fun hanging out with everyone before the event starts. Plus I got to see one of my friends and her family. 

Macie R. Norfolk Assembly #15

On May 8, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., Khedive Shrine hosted their annual open house at Khedive Shrine Center. I’m so happy that I was able to attend this event with our Worthy Adviser, Alaina, and one of our new members, Gabi. There, we had a table that talked all about Rainbow. We talked about what Rainbow was and how it can positively impact girls in our community. Khedive Shrine even asked all the youth leaders from Rainbow, DeMolay, and Job’s Daughters to give a short speech about each organization. Alaina presented an amazing speech! I also enjoyed hearing the speeches from our other youth leaders as well.

I love being able to go to events like these because we get to meet so many new people and see our respective youth sisters and brothers. We all come together to promote how each youth group can contribute to the welfare of girls and boys in our community. I also love to talk about anything Rainbow, so that was a bonus all together! What a great event this was to promote our wonderful organizations!

Macie R. Norfolk Assembly #15

On April 25, 2026, the Masonic youth had their semi-annual MCHQWA Ball at Khedive Shrine Center. It started at 7 pm and went to 10 pm. There was a lot of dancing and mingling between all the youth groups. The DJ booth played a lot of classic 2000s-2010s songs along with a lot of line dances that everyone enjoyed. Numbers wise, we had a great turnout from all organizations. The girls that were in attendance from Norfolk Assembly included Becca, Alaina, Sam, Alex, and me. We also had one of our sparkle girls join the dance as well, she looked just like Cinderella! 

Alaina, Becca, and I all got to escort/be escorted during introductions. Becca was introduced as Grand Hope while Alaina was introduced as the Worthy Advisor of Norfolk Assembly. I had the pleasure of introducing Grace, one of our Worthy Advisors from Ashburn Assembly, Jr, the Eastern Region Deputy for DeMolay, and my brother, Riley who is State Marshall for DeMolay.

I am really happy that I was able to attend this event! I love being able to go to dances and see my friends from other Assemblies, Bethals, or Chapters. The best part of the whole night was dancing with Kaitlyn and Gracie, we sang our hearts out to most of the songs! I can’t wait for the Fall 2026 MCHQWA Ball!
