Springfield Assembly No. 14 Installation of Officers by Noelle F.

It’s never a dull moment with Springfield Assembly No. 14. I had such a blast at Springfield’s Installation of Officers on August 9th, where Abby N. went three for three as Worthy Advisor. The term theme is Winnie the Pooh, and to say I was impressed by the handmade decorations is an understatement. Abby chose Hope and Serenity Farms as her charity for the term, which is a nonprofit organization that dedicates their time to nurturing neglected farm animals. It was a wonderful installation filled with fun and laughter, setting off a wonderful start to the new term. I can’t wait to visit Springfield Assembly again in the future.

Hampton Assembly No. 2 Installation of Officers by Sydney A. and Noelle F.

Posted in Blog on August 23rd, 2025 by admin

Hampton’s theme this term is “Finding Your O’hana with Hampton Assembly” based on the Lilo and Stitch movie. The members of Hampton and their installing officers arrived early to practice and finish setting up before the installation service at 2:00pm August 3rd. Gabi was installed as Worthy Advisor, Sydney as Worthy Associate Advisor, Claire as Charity, Penelope as Faith, Lois as Chaplain, and Elise as Drill Leader. This term, Hampton Assembly is supporting the Newport News Scottish Rite and their haunted house fundraiser. Following the service Hampton Assembly and their guests gathered for refreshments. BY SYDNEY A.

On August 3rd, I had the honor of attending Hampton Assembly’s Installation of Officers. Their theme was inspired by “Lilo and Stitch,” bringing focus to the importance of family. Gabriella is tying her charity and service project together to raise money and bring awareness to the Newport News Scottish Rite Foundation. Her mascot, Stitch, is a clear representation of what she loves most. (Other than Rainbow, of course.) The installation ceremony was filled with fun and love, showcasing the beauty of family and friendship that Rainbow brings. I look forward to seeing the members of Hampton grow in their new offices, and I look forward to joining them in their events soon.  BY NOELLE F.

Virginia DeMolay Picnic

Posted in Blog on August 17th, 2025 by admin

On August 17, 2025, Virginia DeMolay hosted a state-wide cookout party. People from all around Virginia came to this event. We had boys and girls come from northern Virginia, and we had people from local chapters and assemblies like Kempsville, Tidewater, Portsmouth, Hampton, and Norfolk. While everyone was waiting for the food to be done, we played kickball. Around 1 pm, the food came out. There were burgers, hot dogs, salad, chips, cookies, cupcakes, soda, and mac and cheese.

I love going to DeMolay events. As the Sweetheart of Kempsville Chapter, granddaughter of the Executive Officer, and my brother being in Kempsville Chapter I go to a lot of their events. At a young age, I would get dragged around to DeMolay events so my brother could start seeing what DeMolay really is. Since I have been going to events for a really long time I have become close with people in DeMolay. I went to this event to support my DeMolay brothers and because I was excited to go see everyone. Lodge Clean-Up Day by Norfolk Assembly No.15

Posted in Blog on August 10th, 2025 by admin

Clean Up Day

Ava and I went to the Norfolk 15 lodge and met with Sam F, Alex F, Chloe, Mom Julie, Mom Christi, and Mom Katherine. We were up stairs and we scrubbed, dusted, swept, and mopped the assembly room. Then we vacuumed the hall and scrubbed the bathroom. We threw away trash and swept the stairs. Then Mom Katherine swept the entrance and Mom Julie cleaned the bathroom downstairs. After, we were told to start decorating.

We took off all of the table cloths and put down new ones and we did center pieces. Chloe brought disco ball center pieces and music notes. We had to learn how to put them together but we found out how to do it. Then we started balloons and they all were popping on the floor panels that stuck up when they fell on the floor. We had a bunch of sizes of balloons and put them at the entrance in corners which were super pretty and it all came out well then we had pizza. After all of the clean up we had installation practice. – by Morgan C.
