Murder Mystery at Kena – March 5th!

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On March 5th, after the Manassas/Quantico GV, everyone began getting ready for the Fairytale themed Murder Mystery that would take place that night! Upon arrival at Kena, you could see a large assortment of fables and fairy tales had come to life! Princesses and huntsman alike had all appeared before your eyes! Unfortunately, during the course of the evening, Snow White was killed! After a night of blackmail, bribery, and theft, it was eventually uncovered that a dwarf named Herb was the murderer!

This event was so much fun to attend! Many props to the adults and girls involved in the planning and execution of the event!

Kings Dominion

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On Saturday, May 28th, The Rainbow Girls from both Manassas and Richmond Assemblies and I came to Kings Dominion as a fun event. I was with the group of the girls in my assembly, where we first decided to ride the Dominator, a rollercoaster full of loops. We then took the Intimidator, which was the tallest and fastest roller coaster at 305 feet and a blazing 91 mph! After that, we went to a 4d coaster, which I found to be quite dizzying but fun at the same time. After we went on all the most exciting rides, we took a break and ate Mac and Cheese at a restaurant. I had to leave early because I had younger siblings, so I don’t know what the girls did after I left. I cannot wait to see what is next in store for our assembly’s future leisurely events.

Strawberry Night

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On May 21, 2022 at 5:30 pm we went to strawberry night to start help prepare. The Grand Master’s wife handed out magnetic pins which are really cute! As people joined the group, we said grace and started serving. For dinner we had chicken with rice and bread along with a Caesar salad. As for dessert we had what I believe was angel food cake, with strawberries. Half the cakes had swirl of cinnamon mixed into the cake. After dessert the Grand Master gave a speech. As people were leaving, we cleaned up and cleaned the dishes. There were also a lot of decorations we picked up like balloons. It was a great night and the chicken was exceptionally amazing!

Paint night

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On May 22nd at 3 pm was paint night. There were 2 options a sunset scene and a sunrise scene. I decided to go with the sunrise scene. I did not add a boat to mine because I think it was going to be too much and take away focus. There was lots of laughter. Some people did free style painting. Alison was a great instructor and did both the sunrise and sunset at the same time! There were chips and sodas as snacks. I think everyone was pleased with their paintings.
