GWA at Manassas

On July 18, 2021, I was very delighted to attend the installation service of Manassas Assembly #13. Eliza was going in as the new Worthy Advisor and her theme for the term focused around the show, Survivor. I was not too familiar with the show, however, I do have some knowledge in the teen cartoon show called, Total Drama Island, which is based off the show Survivor, so I had some idea of what to expect. I was so happy to see that down in the reception area we didn’t have to eat nasty food for one of the challenges because I certainly would have backed out! The main charity that Eliza wants to focus on for her term is around the National Park Service. I feel like this is a perfect charity for the girls to focus on because, as a community, we should take care of our national parks and do our part to keep them clean and healthy. At the conclusion of the installation, Eliza had some very fun games planned to see if we can do what it takes to survive. I was happy to be on a team full of my favorite rainbow moms and I will say, we definitely have what it takes to survive! We were even able to outsmart our competition and develop new survival skills in the real world. Overall, I had a wonderful time attending the installation of Manassas Assembly and I am so excited to see what Eliza will do these next six months for her Assembly!

Manassas’s Installation

On July 18, I attended Manassas’s Installation. Eliza went in as Worthy Advisor and her theme was made around the show, Survivor. Her installation was very nice and she had tiki torches as carrying pieces. That was interesting, different, and cool. Her music was also very interesting and it made me smile when I heard it. I had an awesome time going to Manassas for this event! It will be exciting to see how Eliza and Manassas Assembly use their motto, “Fire represents your life,” throughout the term.

GWA at Quantico-Freedom

Posted in Blog on August 16th, 2021 by Christi Reed

For my very first official event as the Grand Worthy Advisor for the 2021-2022 year, I was pleased to be able to attend the installation of officers of Quantico-Freedom Assembly #6. Akshita was installed as the new Worthy Advisor and her installation was absolutely beautiful. The theme she wants to focus on is to imagine, innovate, and include with her main charities being the Malala Fund and Young Abilities. The main inspiration for her term was through the story Avatar, The Last Airbender. I personally am a huge fan of this story and I was so excited to know that Akshita focused her ideas through this story. I was so excited to see the decorations and I was not disappointed! The Assembly looked beautiful and I was fangirling the whole time I was there! The whole installation was so heart warming… and it did not help that Mom Ange and JoElla were crying! They were putting tears in my eyes as Akshita got installed! I cannot wait for what Akshita and her whole Assembly are going to do for the next six months. I have no doubt that she will lead with imagination and leadership. I am so happy that Quantico-Freedom was my very first installation and I cannot wait to see what this amazing group of girls will do!

Quantico-Freedom’s Installation

On July 17, I attended Quantico-Freedom’s installation. I went with Grand Worthy Advisor, Kaitlyn. Akshita went in as Worthy Advisor and had an Avatar theme. Kaitlyn was extremely excited about Akshita’s mascot of the Flying Sky Bison. I was happy about the peacock since we have some that live in our neighborhood! I can not wait to help Quantico-Freedom “Shape Our Future With Virginia Rainbow.” What a perfect motto for the time we are currently living with COVID 19. The food after the installation was very delicious and I had an awesome time!
