July 18, 2021, Manassas Installation – Part 1
On July 18, 2021, Manassas Assembly #13 held its installation of officers. The proceedings started out with an uncrowning ceremony for the outgoing Worthy Advisor, Sami. Then, the Manassas officers completed their installation with Eliza as the newly installed Worthy Advisor. Her crowning ceremony will be one to remember because I think her crown is even bigger than the GWA crown in Virginia! The theme for this term comes from the TV show Survivor to provide for a term where the members are divided into tribes where they will compete to outwit, outplay, and outlast the other tribes to end the term with a final winner. Since Eliza has fond memories of family trips to National Parks, she made them her chosen charity for the term. The awards portion of the installation was especially nice when the assembly gave Mom Sara W. an honorary membership since she is always there for the assembly. At introductions, they said that there were seventeen Grand Officers present! It looks like the jurisdiction has finally returned to normal attendance levels for member participation at installation events. Congratulations to all the newly installed officers at Manassas Assembly.
