Breakfast with Santa!

On December 15, 2018, Norfolk Assembly had breakfast with Santa.  Every month, we have a breakfast fundraiser, and this month was with the big guy himself!  While the meal was downstairs, families could get their pictures taken upstairs with Santa.  Santa would give each child a coloring book and markers.  Downstairs, the breakfast was biscuits, sausage gravy, sausage patties, hash browns, and eggs with a choice of hot chocolate, orange juice, apple juice, or coffee.  It was a great experience for the assembly to work together to do this task!  We look forward to next year’s!

Christmas Party after our meeting

Posted in Blog on January 2nd, 2019 by Christi Reed

On December 9, 2018, we had our Christmas party!  All of our girls wore their Christmas shirts or sweaters.  There was a potluck for our food with Mom Ginger’s famous Heath Bar Cake.  We were all able to eat and have a great time laughing and having fun.  We also had our White Elephant gift exchange which is always a good time.  Afterwards, we all went up to the Assembly room to set up a Christmas tree for our breakfast with Santa.  This was a great way to show fellowship and unwind before the holiday break!

Serving Dinner

Posted in Blog on January 2nd, 2019 by Christi Reed

On December 6, 2018, our girls were happy to serve at Berkeley Lodge.  The members started with potato skins as appetizers.  For dinner, we served beef brisket, broccoli, sweet potatoes, and our favorite rolls.  Afterwards, we served cake and ice cream.  Many of our girls came out to help with this event making everything run smoothly.

Supporting South Norfolk Lodge

Posted in Blog on January 1st, 2019 by Christi Reed

On December 4, 2018, Norfolk Assembly was happy to serve dinner at South Norfolk Lodge’s annual stated.  Dad Brian went in as the new Worshipful Master for our sponsoring lodge.  The dinner that was served was country fried steak, mashed potatoes, buttered beans, collard greens, and rolls.  We were able to dish out all of these fixings and get it to the tables for all of the guests to enjoy.  Congratulations Dad Brian!
