Rainbow Sunday
Posted in Blog on June 6th, 2018 by WebmasterOn April 8th, our Assembly had a really big Rainbow Sunday celebration that included the Initiation of two new Rainbow Girls. We met up at Grace United Methodist Church in Manassas for the 11 am service with many of our parents and Masonic family.
After the service, we went back to the Lodge for an Initiation of two new Rainbow Girls, Grace and Eliza. After the initiation we all had a cookout. Dad Wyatt and Dad Stan kept the hamburgers and hot dogs coming from a fire pit outside. We had veggie burgers for the vegetarians. Everyone brought tons of food. There were lots of side dishes and chips and drinks. We toasted marshmallows over the fire and made s’mores. We had so many desserts we almost couldn’t eat them all! We also played kickball outside for a couple of hours. It was a long day and we kept going until almost dinner time, but no one could eat any more, so we cleaned up and went home.
It was a really fun day, and I look forward to next year.
