Founder’s Day

Posted in Blog on July 20th, 2021 by Christi Reed

On July 11th, Quantico-Freedom Assembly held our last meeting of this term. I am so proud of my friend JoElla for the success of her term, and of everything we have accomplished as an Assembly during these past few months. During the meeting, I read a tribute to the life of W. Mark Sexson for Founder’s Day. After the meeting we had refreshments for Founder’s Day. It was a successful end to our term, and I am excited for the term ahead!

Grand Assembly Installation June 27

Posted in Blog on July 17th, 2021 by Christi Reed

Sunday morning started out with a devotional.  The installation began at 9am, and Kaitlyn was installed as the next GWA for the 2021-2022 grand year.  We will have an exciting year ahead of us with the “Have Courage and Be Kind” theme.  I look forward to all the events and an exciting year that Virginia Rainbow will have.

Grand Assembly Banquet – June 26

Posted in Blog on July 16th, 2021 by Christi Reed

This grand banquet was extra special because we were able to dress up for a sock hop.  Quantico-Freedom Assembly coordinated dresses for both members and moms.  The usual awards were announced, and Quantico-Freedom Assembly was named as Assembly of the Year for the very first time.  Everyone was able to hear the new grand appointments for the 2021-2022 grand year, and Lorkin was announced as the next Grand Worthy Associate Advisor.  Congratulations to everyone on their new appointments!

Grand Assembly Saturday Afternoon Session June 26

Posted in Blog on July 15th, 2021 by Christi Reed

As usual the Saturday afternoon session was very emotional.  We introduced all of Virginia’s Worthy Advisors and Mother Advisors.  We heard the minutes and the Treasurer’s report as the last things before the ritual closing.  Then we moved to the Baby Dedication and we heard from Kaitlyn as the next GWA.  Once that was finished, we watch the majority service which was very emotional especially since there were nine Rainbow Girls for the ceremony this year.  We took bets on when Mom Ange would start to tear up, but Mom Jean was actually worse this time because Abigale was in the majority ceremony this year.  After the majority service we held the Book of Memories ceremony, a symbol of the end of the 2020-2021 grand year.  I retired as the Grand Editor for the last time.
