Boogity, Boogity, Boogity, Let’s Go Racing Girls Event

Rainbow Girl Reports:

After Grand Visitation, 9/6, we went to Langley Speedway to watch the race for “Boogity, Boogity, Boogity, Let’s Go Racing Girls”. Almost all of the girls went. There was a food truck for all girls and their families. They had things like fries and barbecue. We were supposed to get in groups based on who we thought would win.

We witnessed only 1 car collision. We had fun and Chloe had an obsession with wanting any car number 3 to win. We had to cut it short because while we were out there it had started to rain. Overall it was a really fun time and there was lots of good food. (by Ava C.)

Virginia Rainbow Girls in the MASA Parade

Posted in Blog on September 6th, 2025 by admin

On September 6th, 2025, VA IORG walked in the MASA parade. Some of the girls from Norfolk Assembly that went to this parade were Becca, Sam, Alaina, Alex, Chloe, Manuela, and me. Our Grand Worthy Advisor, Emily, was able to be in attendance along with one of our sisters from Manassas Assembly. All we had to do for this event was walk down a street and wave to people and represent Rainbow Girls. We, as the Masonic Youth, were asked to walk in this parade to represent each of our organizations and spread cheer for everyone to hear! Thank you, Mom Michelle, for setting up everything for us.

Since the parade was a little quiet, we made up a chant: Everywhere we go(everywhere we go) people wanna know(people wanna know) who we are(who we are) so we tell them( so we tell them) we are the youth(we are the youth) the Masonic youth( the Masonic youth) and if you can’t hear us( and if you can’t hear us) we’ll shout a little louder( we’ll shout a little louder)! Lodge Clean-Up Day by Norfolk Assembly No.15

Clean Up Day

Ava and I went to the Norfolk 15 lodge and met with Sam F, Alex F, Chloe, Mom Julie, Mom Christi, and Mom Katherine. We were up stairs and we scrubbed, dusted, swept, and mopped the assembly room. Then we vacuumed the hall and scrubbed the bathroom. We threw away trash and swept the stairs. Then Mom Katherine swept the entrance and Mom Julie cleaned the bathroom downstairs. After, we were told to start decorating.

We took off all of the table cloths and put down new ones and we did center pieces. Chloe brought disco ball center pieces and music notes. We had to learn how to put them together but we found out how to do it. Then we started balloons and they all were popping on the floor panels that stuck up when they fell on the floor. We had a bunch of sizes of balloons and put them at the entrance in corners which were super pretty and it all came out well then we had pizza. After all of the clean up we had installation practice. – by Morgan C.

Grand Assembly of Canada

Members of Norfolk Assembly #15 attended the Grand Session of Canada. Becca, Grand Hope, and Alaina, the Grand Choir Director and Grand Representative to Canada, drove up with Mom Michelle. The drive was long but we had a blast giving Mom Michelle a hard time of not having any interstates to drive.

When we crossed the border they asked a lot of questions but let us through. We went to Niagara Falls and walked around. Becca and Mom Michelle got Maple Syrup and we had maple cookies.

When we finally got to the hotel we met a lot of girls from Connecticut and Massachusetts. We played games, danced and hung out. The next day was the Opening ceremony where Alaina spoke and thanked everyone for their kindness and told everyone Virginia Rainbow was only an 11 hour drive away.

On our way back home we stopped at a Canadian Dollar Tree and bought all kinds of snacks. Some were good, others not so much! But overall it was a fun trip. (by Alaina N.)
