Grand Lodge Installation

On November 9th, 2019, Zoey, JoElla, Mom Ange, and myself drove to Richmond for the Installation of Officers of the Grand Lodge of Virginia. Dad Rex was Installed as a District Deputy Grand Master. We were joined by Brianna from Richmond Assembly while we watched the Installation, and we even got to meet a young Rainbow Girl to be! She was so excited to see Zoey in her crown and Grand dress. I hope to see her in Rainbow in the future! Afterwards, we stopped for Ice Cream and headed home.

Father’s Day Program for Our Masons

Posted in Blog on July 22nd, 2019 by Christi Reed

On Friday, June 7th, Manassas Assembly arrived at the lodge before the Masons had their regular business meeting. We prepared a Father’s Day program to present to them in honor of Father’s Day coming up this month! We ran through a quick practice while they started eating the dinner that the Prince William DeMolay Chapter made for them. Then we joined them in the dining hall! We ate super fast so we could get back in the lodge room to get ready. The ceremony went pretty well and I think the Masons and their guests really enjoyed it!

CJ’s Freedom Ride

Posted in Blog on July 17th, 2019 by Christi Reed

Please help Deputy Bobby Isleib, Loudoun County Sheriff Office and a Mason from Freedom Lodge #118 in Lovettsville, Virginia, as he helps to raise money for the Scottish Rite Speech and Hearing Programs.  These programs offer children with speech challenges a way to be heard and understood with services free of charge to their families.

CJ’s Freedom Ride to End Speech Disabilities is a motorcycle ride that is 1,000 miles in 24 hours.  It is commonly referred to as an “Iron Butt.”  CJ was a very special young man who passed away in 2016.  He had several disabilities including a speech disability.  He struggled all his life to be heard and understood.

Please sponsor this ride either with donations by the mile or for the overall trip.  The ride will take place the week of August 12th and will cover four states.  You can visit www.cjsfreedomride.com for more information.

Supporting Our Sponsors

Posted in Blog on January 1st, 2019 by Christi Reed
On November 6th, Kaitlyn, Phoenix, Sarah, Kayla, and I went to South Norfolk Lodge’s stated meeting and dinner. We ate dinner and watched as they presented the Community Builders Award to a woman who collects canned goods to make Thanksgiving dinner for the South Norfolk community. Afterwards, we had a program where we talked about the similarities between Rainbow and Masons. We all had a good time, and the Masons enjoyed our program.
