Gardening Event

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On May 15th, we had a lodge gardening event. We removed all the weeds and dead plants from the front area of the lodge before taking a well-deserved lunch break. I helped Dad Clancy and Mom Barbra putting together a few new cabinets for the Ladies Bathroom and then headed back out to help finish planting the flowers. We worked really hard, and our beautiful lodge really reflected that.

Meeting – May 10th

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

I attended the Rainbow meeting on May 10th.   I got to sit in the bow.  I like being in the bow, it is very relaxing and chill.  I like seeing Sam while she is Worthy Advisor.  I also go to say my softball team won a game during celebrations.   I like sharing with my Rainbow sisters.  I like attending meetings and seeing my friends at Rainbow.

April 26th meeting

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

On April 26th, 2022, at 7:30 pm was a rainbow meeting along with the 7 pm pledge meeting. We had one of the pledges that got to rap the gavels for the pledge meeting which she was very excited about. The rainbow meeting went great as well, we had a lot of information that was shared, and we talked with Mom Nancy about upcoming Grand assembly. Awards for the centennial program were handed out as well during the meeting. After the meeting we had Alison and Eliza bring refreshments which were vanilla and chocolate pudding and packaged peaches with bottled water. As well as after the meeting, we got to meet Avery’s 7-week-old chocolate lab named Coco who was adorable! It was a very exciting meeting, and we did a lot of socializing and talking after the meeting!

What nature means to me

Posted in Blog on July 12th, 2022 by Christi Reed

Nature is all around us. Nature is an unforgettable thing. Nature is the birds and the bees, the flowers and the trees, the sweet smell of grass on a mildew day. Nature is the sunset on the horizon, the sunrise across the ocean. It is the deer in the forest, the fish in the sea. Nature is a stunning morning. When you feel the wind in your hair, that’s nature. When the sun beats down on you, that’s nature. Nature is the cool air of the spring. Nature is the turtles in the lake. Nature is when you look in a field and say “wow”. Nature is beauty. That’s what nature means to me.
