Initiations are my favorite thing about Rainbow. We get to show off our ritual work and get to welcome new girls.  While it takes time to learn each part, I was always told if you learn it right the first time, it won’t be hard to refresh for the next time!   At Manassas Assembly we award a Ritual Necklace following each initiation. The girls vote by secret ballot on who they feel did the best ritual and floor work.  The Mother Advisor counts the votes and announces the winner.  Sometimes the votes are tied because our girls can do such great work!

Manassas Assembly #13

On December 5^th, 2021, Quantico-Freedom Assembly headed over to Ashburn Assembly to help with an Initiation. My friend Denise was initiated alongside the other candidates, and I was asked to fill in as Fidelity. It’s taken a long time for Isabella to convince Denise to join our Assembly, but I’m happy that she did! After a successful Initiation, we had refreshments with our new Rainbow sisters.

My initiation to rainbow was on February 8th at 7 pm. I arrived early at 6:45 pm so I had time to talk with some of the girls there. I was being initiated along with another girl named Dalila. It was a very memorable moment and it really made me feel like I truly had a huge family around me. They all made now feel like the lodge was my home! I could tell they took many hours practicing to get it just right!

Manassas Assembly #13

On August 10th, my assembly had an initiation for our candidate, Lily. My station is Charity, so I had a long part not only for the opening, but I also had the Pot of Gold speech. I was quite nervous waiting for the color stations to be done with their parts, because this is the first time I had performed a part like this. But it went well, and we had refreshments after the meeting, which included a giant cake that said “Welcome Lily” in big frosting letters. I am excited for when we have our next initiation.
