Minute-to-win-it Success

Posted in Blog on April 29th, 2012 by soccergirl

On one Friday, I helped my friend at her church volunteer in helping little handicap kids play minute-to-win-it games for a fundraiser. I was stationed at the game called “Play it by Ear.” This game had pennies in soda cans, and you had to put the cans in order from lightest to heaviest by shaking and lifting the cans. If they won it under a minute, they would receive a coupon for a free milkshake or something enjoyable. It was a lot of fun and over 300 people showed up. I would say that it was a SUCCESS!!

Smithfield Assembly Installation of Officers

Our Installatin was on January 14, 2012. Lauren went in as Worthy Advisor for this term. Her mascot is the owl. The theme for this term is “Unmask your inner beauty” and the motto is “When all else fails, just remember: Smile, be beautiful, but most importantly, be yourself!” Everybody did a great job! Everybody had a good time at the reception that fallowed. Fredericksburg Assembly stole Lauren’s mascot and made the whole Assembly dance to “Jump on it.” It was really funny! Even the Pledge girls had to join in. Everybody had a great time! Congratulations Smithfield Assembly!
