Smithfield Assembly made goody bags after their meeting for kids at Children’s Hospital of Kings Daughters

Congratulations to Smithfield Assembly, who won the Supreme Assembly Monthly Challenge for the THIRD time!

On Saturday February 9,  there was a scentsy party. We got to sample lots of different scents and there were games. Jennifer was hosting the party and she helped us find scents and other things we liked. There were about five Rainbow Girls plus their family and it was a fun experience.

Richmond Assembly #10

At the Ashburn initiation we had initiated four girls into rainbow, starting up Ashburn assembly once again. Erin was worthy advisor, Claire was Chaplin, Kathy was hope and Melanie was drill leader. We all volunteered to take an office and take part in this event. It was a lot of fun to be apart of this memorable initiation. After the initiation we took pictures with everyone and at the reception we had cake and ice cream, there was also the famed taco dip which Mom Nancy Brown raved about! It was a great turn out and a lot of fun! The two and half hour drive was definitely worth it!

On Saturday February 2 the Grand Lodge of Virginia hosted their annual leadership conference. Since this year€™s Grand Master’€™s theme is about the youth organizations we were invited to attend his event. It was nice to see all of the mason who were there. We sold bumper stickers which have the three youth organization€™s logos and the mason’s logo on them. The Grand Master was happy to see that we were supporting him and it was good to see all of the organizations together. During the meeting he talked about the Child-ID program. I thought it was cool that he talked about that since our assembly has helped the masons with this program. Over all it was a very good day and I know it made an impression on the masons that rainbow was represented so well.
