Manassas Movie Night – 3/7/2020

On Saturday, March 7, Manassas Assembly had a movie night. We decided to watch the movie Clue and we had a lot of fun.  I think we spent more time playing with Luna, my pet hamster, and trying on dresses than watching the movie.  We had so much fun that we stayed up until after midnight when the moms finally said it was time to go home.

Manassas Scrapbooking – 3/7/2020

On Saturday, March 7, Manassas Assembly had a scrapbooking session. It was pretty fun and there were so many pictures to go through.  I think we now have 3 inches of pages for the scrapbook so far.  I can’t wait until it’s finished.  There are still so many more events that need to be added to it so there is much more to be done.

On May 23^rd, 2020, my family and I planted flowers at the lodge.  For this term, one of the events I was in charge of was lodge gardening.  Due to COVID-19 we were not able to perform the activity as a group.  So, my family and I volunteered to do it ourselves.  We took out a few dead plants and weeds and planted many beautiful flowers.  We had fun getting dirty and making the lodge look pretty. I hope the flowers turn out well!

-Manassas Assembly #13

Between June 2019 and March 2020 we had many Grand Assembly Events and I think that during this time it is very important to remember all the good things that we got to do! In October, Virginia Rainbow joined together in Old Town Manassas with an organization called Walk to End Alzheimers, where we walked 3 kilometers and raised funds to find a cure. We heard from guest speakers who spoke about living with Alzheimer’s, and afterwards we took pictures around old town. It was a very educational and fun day.
