The murder mystery event was on Saturday March 5th at 5:30 pm at Kena Shriner.  It took about a year to prepare and was very fun! I was the only one to have guessed who was the “murderer”. It was very fun because you didn’t know if you were the murderer until the day you were at the event. They served dinner and dessert. Everyone dressed to the part. I was a dwarf and sold fake gems for “money”. The person with the most money had about $2,000 and we started out with about 200. Very fun and I am looking forward to the one next year!

Manassas Assembly #13

The 2nd regular meeting of the month was held on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022. I was a protem for Confidential Observer which was my second time proteming in that roll and was very active and fun! The other girls did a phenomenal job with the parts.  Sinclair and I brought refreshments for after the meeting which was cupcakes and cheese salami bites with apples slices. The meeting started at 7:30 and lasted about 2 hours. The pledge meeting lasted about 30 minutes starting at 7. Many girls were at the meeting and the pledges also did a fantastic job with their meeting.

Manassas Assembly #13

On March 13th, 2022, at 2 pm the lodge came together to clean up the lodge. We reorganized all the drawers in the kitchen and pantry. We power wash cleaned the panels above the cooking stove. We moped the floors. We threw out old food and old spices. We relabeled all the drawers and cabinets. We did deep cleaning on the counter tops. We found some old dishes that no one was using so we either threw it away or put it in the garage sale pile for the garage sale in July. Everyone helped where help was needed. Very helpful activity and brought the lodge to work together.

Manassas Assembly #13

             She is the first Miss America from Alaska to be crowned Miss America. She was crowned Miss America at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. She was born in Anchorage, Alaska in between February and March 2001 to her parents Ron and Julie Broyles and she also had 2 brothers. When, she was growing up in Alaska- she was involved in volunteering with Special Olympics where one of her brothers who has down syndrome and autism is an athlete which she still does today and she is also a rainbow girl from Fairbanks Assembly #1. She graduated from Service High School in 2019. She is now 21 years old and is a sophomore currently attending Arizona State University where she lives in Tempe, Arizona. She is currently studying biomedical sciences at Arizona State University and wants to be a dermatologist. She is the 3^rd rainbow girl to be known as Miss America after Lee Merriweather and Rebecca King.
