Leadership Conference

On Saturday February 2 the Grand Lodge of Virginia hosted their annual leadership conference. Since this year€™s Grand Master’€™s theme is about the youth organizations we were invited to attend his event. It was nice to see all of the mason who were there. We sold bumper stickers which have the three youth organization€™s logos and the mason’s logo on them. The Grand Master was happy to see that we were supporting him and it was good to see all of the organizations together. During the meeting he talked about the Child-ID program. I thought it was cool that he talked about that since our assembly has helped the masons with this program. Over all it was a very good day and I know it made an impression on the masons that rainbow was represented so well.

On Saturday, January 19, 2013 Lindsey Sloan was installed as Worthy Advisor. It was for the Smithfield Assembly #5. Her mascot was a Ladybug. The Installation was very nice. The people who went were Kathy G., Athena J., Destini L., Skye L. (Richmond Prospect), Mom Simmons and Mom Lumpkin.

DeMolay Brotherhood Dance

The brotherhood dance had a great turn out. There was a lot of DeMolay, Jobies, and Rainbow Girls. There was a very nice DJ with a lot of funky music being played. After the dance most everyone that attended the dance attended dinner at CiCi’s Pizza. Also it was a great time to socialize with other Masonic Members.

Worthy Advisor’s Service Project

Posted in Blog on February 12th, 2013 by admin

At my first meeting on January 22, 2013 as Worthy Advisor, I had asked people to bring in food to collect for the food bank, which is one of my charities, and I also had asked people to bring in bras. A majority member from Quantico Assembly talked to Casey and told her about a bra drive that her work place was holding for the YWCA Women’s shelter and asked if we could participate and help collect bras. Well I sent out an email asking people to bring some and I set a goal of just 15 bras, well, way to go Richmond Assembly because we blew that number out the water with a total of 42 bras! We also started our food collection with 17 food items! It was a great first meeting. Thank you

Richmond Assembly # 10 for being so awesome!
