Fear Fest

Posted in Blog on November 17th, 2012 by admin

On Friday October 26, the Fredericksburg Assembly Girls and some of their friends went out to Kings Dominion for Fear Fest. There was much excitement as we ran from roller coaster to roller coaster with a multitude of zombies and other undead characters chasing us. There were scary creatures at almost every turn that popped out when you least expected it, but that only added to the fun that everyone had that night. We had a great turn out with almost the entire Assembly, four friends, two Rainbow moms, and three Rainbow dads. Everyone had an amazing time as we shared our screams and our laughs with our closest friends and family.

Fredericksburg’s Initiation Oct 10, 2012

On October 10th the Fredericksburg Assembly had their second Initiation this year. We initiated two new girls, Tressa and Hope. Both Girls had been very active in the Assembly at open events, so they were very excited to officially be part of the organization because they knew how much fun the Rainbow Girls have. It was a beautiful Initiation with the girls doing an amazing job memorizing their parts and Christine performing the rose lecture. A big thanks goes out to GWAA Katie  and Kathy from Richmond for filling in the missing links! The Assembly was very excited at having two wonderful new girls join the Assembly.  By Christine

Grand Worthy Advisor’s Travels

Posted in Blog on November 11th, 2012 by Webmaster

Hello everyone!!

We have been having an absolutely wonderful year thus far! We have been busy traveling around the state, doing service, bonding with our Rainbow sisters, and making wonderful memories!

I have had the opportunity to travel to one jurisdiction thus far which was CANADA! It was the first time I had ever been there and I had a wonderful time with my traveling companions Mom Heller and my mentor, Jamie Waite. Lorraine Ball was the Grand Worthy Advisor for Canada and a beautiful ‘Twas the night before Christmas Grand Assembly! We did fun activities like make Christmas cookies and ornaments and felt the joy of the season all weekend! On the way home we got to stop by Niagara Falls which was a breathtaking beautiful experience.

Unfortunately, I have not had to the opportunity to travel to any other jurisdictions yet but do have Maryland, South Carolina, New York, and Colorado in my future travels.

We have had a great year so far and I look forward to continuing and having a marvelous time with my Rainbow sisters!

Richmond’s Grand Visitation

At Richmond’s Grand Visitation, November 10, 2012, we did the skit that Erin came up with. We initiated Petey, and I did Service. Each color station gave Lauren a peacock feather that Taylor brought in to a meeting beforehand. When Lauren and Petey reached Charity, they got a mini peacock and… Skittles! The mini peacock got named “Oh Junior”! During the reception I handed out my new Rainbow business cards, and stole Petey. Kathy stole “Oh Junior”. We made Lauren collect at least $15 for her Charity to get them back. My mom made me steal Petey. (True story!!!) The cakes were yummy (thanks Mom!) and everybody loved them!
