Pledge Meeting / Rainbow Meeting – February 22, 2022

Posted in Blog on April 11th, 2022 by Christi Reed

I attended Manassas meeting and Pledge Meeting.  I attended the Pledge Meeting because I wanted to be a role model to the Pledge sisters so that they can be good Rainbow Girls.  I protemed as ‘Kindness’.  I really like helping the Pledge girls.  The Pledge meeting reminded me when I was a Pledge.  I also attended a Rainbow meeting which was immediately after.  I got to fill in for another girl at our meeting.  The part was Love and I liked being in the bow.

Serving a Lodge

Posted in Blog on January 4th, 2019 by Christi Reed

On December 18, 2018, Sarah, Phoenix, Kayla, Adam (our Rainbro), and I were happy to serve at Indian River Lodge’s Stated Dinner.  It is always exciting to visit the other lodges in District 36 and show our support through service.  This was the last dinner we were to serve in 2018, and it did not disappoint!  We served pork tenderloin, sweet potato souffle, and green bean casserole, with our ever-favorite rolls!  For dessert, there were different loaves of cakes with ice cream.  We even got to see our newest pledge, Evelyn, and her mom.  Evelyn will join in nine years when she turns 10!!

Sadie Hawkins Dance

Fun at the Sadie Hawkins Dance

A dance where the girls ask boys to dance?  Yes, that is a Sadie Hawkins Dance!  On Saturday, June 9, at 8:00, at Herndon Lodge, Bethel 52 held a dance and invited all the Rainbow Girls and Job’s Daughters. Girls from Ashburn Assembly and Manassas Assembly were there with guys from Herndon and Ashburn DeMolay. Mom P and mom Paula were the chaperone. The dance followed the Hern-burn DeMolay Installation that many of the girls attended. Katie, Sami, Vanessa, Emma, and Ella showed off their dance moves.  There were also slow dances. Vanessa and Emma had “special friends” that they had asked to the dance, so everyone was happy!

Grand Assembly from a Pledge

Grand Assembly  – By Ella

At Grand Assembly, a lot of the girls were there.  I liked a lot about Grand Assembly.  I can not name them all but here are some:

  • I liked the dance because it made people laugh. The older girls danced with me and made me feel special.
  • I liked the banquet because people were excited. I was so happy to hear that Manassas Assembly got Assembly of the Year.  They worked so hard for it!  We also won the travel award and many ritual competitions.  In fact, I even won 1st place in the Pledge Competition.

I am looking forward to having fun with Kensley this year.  I am also looking forward to being a Rainbow Girl.  I just turned 8 so only 3 more years left!
