Below are just some of the great opportunities available to Rainbow Girls pursuing a secondary education.  Just like filling out college applications, YOU are responsible for obtaining, completing, and gathering all the information necessary for each application as well as following up to make sure that it was received.  Remember, these are only a few of many fraternal scholarships available to you, so do your research and check other appendant bodies for any they may have to offer.  GOOD LUCK!

Virginia Rainbow Scholarship

Deadline:  March 15, 2012

All eligible Rainbow Girls must apply to receive the consideration of the Virginia Rainbow Scholarship! A completed application includes the VA Rainbow Scholarship Application, official academic transcript of grades for the two previous academic years, two current letters of recommendation (excluding family members), and the Mother Advisor’s Recommendation Form.   It is your responsibility to make sure that all documents and letters are completed and submitted by the due date. Virginia Rainbow Scholarship Mother Advisor Form Virginia Rainbow Scholarship 2012

This year Virginia Grant Court Amaranth is unable to provide a Rainbow Scholarship.  Please check back with them in 2013.

2011 Outstanding Youth Award – Grand Lodge of Virginia

Deadline: April 1, 2012

The Grand Master and the Masons in Virginia affirm their support of and commitment to our youth; particularly the DeMolay, Job’s Daughters and Rainbow.  Accordingly, they invite you to participate in this recognition program for outstanding members of the three youth groups.  One individual will be selected from each of the three youth groups.  You are encouraged to apply each year; however, previous award recipients are not eligible to re-apply.  To apply, please complete the following application and send it to Richard McCoy Young, 209 Millwood Avenue, Chesapeake, Virginia 23322-5423.  Download here.
