We made an assembly line and at one end of the table we passed eggs around and filled them with candy, and then we ended up throwing the eggs (gently) to the bin in the center of the table. When we were done, we filled about over 10 boxes full of eggs. We were able to get all the eggs done quickly, which was appreciated by the Shriners. Ashburn then came out on Saturday to help hide the eggs and make sure that everything was ready to go when all the kids showed up for the annual egg hunt and clown show. We had a great time helping them!

On Monday the Masons of Fredericksburg Lodge No. 4 hosted their annual Memorial Day March. It started at the cemetery with a few short speeches and a close look at one of the veterans in the cemetery, Colonel Stanard.  Then we marched to the Hugh Mercer statue where we heard a wonderful speech given by Delegate Bobby Orrock.

Today, May 25, 2013, is a very sad day for the Manassas Assembly and I. Today a loved one died. Her name is Becky Moose. She was the recorder for the Rainbow for Girls. Everyone loved her. It was sorta hard not too. If you were sad, she could turn your frown upside down. She was very good at making crafts and yummy food. Not only was she good at those things, she was a very good mother and wife. She watched out for her son. “Jimmy do not do that,” she would say. She cared for her rainbow girls like we were her own children. She would be by our sides when we needed her and when we did not even need her. Even if you have never met her, you would have loved her. She will live her life in the next world. We miss you, and we will always have you in our hearts Becky! Keep her husband and her son in your prayers. She would have done the same for you.

I had to ask off for this Saturdays events in Hampton and in order for me to have off for that and also for my summer class, I have to work tonight. Balancing my schedule is usually quite the task, it is difficult because we do so much in Rainbow, I attend school and am currently taking a summer class and I work an average of thirty hours a week. I love everything I do so I wont put one down for another but this is a reality check that I cant do everything. But I am excited for all the great things we are doing!

On the 4th of May, 2013, the Fredericksburg Rainbow Girls set up the balloon darts game at MayFest. The day was a sunny one and it was a blast playing the game and watching all of the little ones win suckers for their efforts. There was also a station where people could decorate their own planters or bookmarks.

Manassas Assembly #13 attended and everyone who came had an amazing time.  It was so nice to see our friends from other Assemblies join in on all the fun!  Everyone was dancing, laughing and having a good time! The food was delicious and we certainly enjoyed our time there and hope to attend again next year!
